Gardening is more popular in urban regions and cities today. The owner of the garden and the gardeners use a lot of pesticides to preserve flowers or keep pests at bay, which is harmful to both the environment and human health. In order to limit the use of chemicals, Aatree promotes organic gardening and offers organic gardening services to our consumers.

🌍 Enriching Minds on Sustainable Waste Management 🌱 On October 30-31 and November 1, I had the privilege of leading a class for the students of Samvada Baduku College’s Waste Supply Chain Management course. My focus was on various aspects of waste management across agriculture, food processing, poultry and slaughterhouse industries, and even marine waste. We explored critical approaches to managing waste effectively and transforming it into energy sources. This wasn’t just a discussion of challenges; I wanted to bring the topic to life by showing students how waste management can be a viable livelihood. I encouraged them to consider waste not as a byproduct but as an opportunity—one that has both environmental impact and economic potential. The three days of engagement left me inspired, especially as I heard the students’ feedback. They expressed a newfound understanding of how waste management can open doors to sustainable livelihoods and shared an enthusiasm for tackling these challenges with innovative solutions. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team, especially Bindiya Shetty , the program convener, for this opportunity. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I saw firsthand the serious problem caused by improper disposal of glass bottles. Broken glass often injured stray animals searching for food in the waste, leading to severe injuries or even death from ingesting glass pieces. Additionally, many of these bottles ended up in water bodies or were dumped in landfills, creating an environmental hazard. This made me realize the depth of the problem and motivated me to find a solution within my capacity as a gardener. I began exploring the idea of upcycling waste glass bottles into terrariums. It took 19 months of trial and error to figure out the ideal growing medium and other techniques, but the effort was worth it. That's how the journey of Aatree Terrariums began. Today, I’m proud to share that we have upcycled over 850-900 kgs of waste glass bottles into beautiful terrariums. These terrariums serve as living showpieces, adding greenery to any space with minimal effort. They are self-sustaining ecosystems that not only enhance decor but also bring a touch of nature indoors. People love buying these terrariums to decorate their homes or offices and as unique gifts. Institutions also purchase terrariums from us to present as meaningful mementos to their guests. The response has been overwhelmingly positive, with many appreciations, suggestions, and support from the community. Through this initiative, we are not only addressing a significant waste problem but also promoting sustainable living and environmental awareness. I'm grateful for all the support and look forward to continuing this journey of making a positive impact.
