I have been trying to inculcate more environment friendly practices. Some that I have been following: 1) Usage of menstrual cup 2) Only cloth bags, no plastic 3) Bamboo toothbrush 4) Usage of bus / metro wherever there's last mile connectivity

Local Problem Solving - Course for College Students

Created and facilitated a 1-month course on problem-solving using Reap Benefit's Discover-Investigate-Solve-Share model. 8 students of PES University attended and solved local issues in college at the end of it.

Naagarik - Classifying Civic Issues through AI

Naagarik is a machine learning model that scrapes tweets, identifies civic issue complaints and classifies them into the category they belong to (air, waste, water, sanitation etc). Along with this, it assigns a severity score. This has been published in IEEE Scopus Indexing - https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/9544777

Custom WhatsApp app for Personalised Learning

In order to provide each student a unique and personal learning experience, we have created our own WhatsApp app - Meteor - built using WhatsApp API. It allows us to have custom features, automate flows, track user journey, etc. We have 600 users from all 31 districts of the state Karnataka using it.

Sitara Akka as my career

After my undergraduate degree, I decided to run Sitara Akka as a full-time career. We provide education and a support system to highschool students from low-income communities in Karnataka to build self-directed learners for life.
